Exhibition: Fantastic! Kuniyoshi, the demon of prints
For the first time in France, an exhibition is dedicated to master of prints Kuniyoshi (1797-1861). The public is invited to discover 250 works by the Japanese artist, until January 17th 2016 at the Petit Palais. His works, major in the Japanese Art, are known for their beauty and strength. They have inspired great contemporary artists, notably Europeans as Monet and Rodin, but also the Manga or Tattoo Art. This important retrospective has been made possible thanks to Japanese and French institutions loans. By the way, the museum proposes a second exhibition dedicated to prints: “Fantastique! Estampe visionnaire: De Goya à Redon” (“Fantastic! Visionary prints: From Goya to Redon”) which is to admire nearby the Green Hotels Paris, down the Champs-Elysées.
“Fantastique! Kuniyoshi: Le Démon de l’estampe” exhibition (“Fantastic! Kuniyoshi: the demon of prints”), from October 1st 2015 to January 17th 2016.
Open Tuesday-Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
Closed on Monday.
Nocturnal on Friday until 9pm.
Full rate: €10 / Free for those under 17.
