Exhibition: Jacques Doucet – Yves Saint Laurent, Living for Art

Until February 14th 2016, the “Vivre pour l’Art” exhibition (“Living for Art”) introduces Jacques Doucet (1853-1929) and Yves Saint Laurent (1936-2008) in a new light: experienced collectors. Besides being two of the most gifted fashion designers of the 20th century, they were also great art-lovers. This retrospective, organised at the Yves Saint Laurent Foundation, stages works which dressed both the houses up, at Saint-James Street in Neuilly (92) for Doucet, and at Babylone Street in the 7th district of Paris for YSL. For the event, an atypical space has been thought and destined for the cult of Beauty and Creation. Visitors will have the opportunity to admire works by Braque, Matisse, Chirico, Laurencin, Brancusi and even Modigliani and Mondrian. This is the unique occasion to discover works from several artistic trends, nearby the Green Hotels Paris.
