Exhibition: The Flower Thief

While the exhibition consecrated to Zao Wou-Ki is being held until next October 23rd, today starts the retrospective dedicated to Walasse Ting (1928-2010). An unclassifiable artist, he was one of the figures of Chinese contemporary art, fitting into a true pioneer in the 1990s. In the course of his career, he was seen in Paris, New York or Amsterdam. These are 70 works which are here displayed, of which half comes from the collections of the Cernuschi Museum. The other half is from American and European collections. This event comes back—among others—on the relations the artist has been forging all along his career with the American and European artistic environments. It is the first time this collection is exhibited. On a side note, it was recently subjected to a restoration.

Exhibition ‘The Flower Thief – Walasse Ting (1928-2010)’, from October 7th, 2016 to February 26th, 2017.
Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
Full rate: €8 / Reduced rate: €6.
