Exhibition: From Watteau to David, The Horvitz Collection

Until this summer, the Petit Palais dedicates two exhibitions to the art of the XVIIIth century, "Baroque during the Enlightenment. 18th Century Masterpieces in Paris Churches" which we spoke about on April 3rd of this year on the Green Hotels Paris blog, and "From Watteau to David, The Horvitz Collection". There are 200 paintings, sculptures and French drawings dating from the XVIIIth century that are presented there. All come from the private collection of the big American collector Jeffrey Horvitz. This important retrospective offers a panorama of the biggest artists of that era, from the Regency to the Revolution, from Natoire to Vincent, from Fragonard to Bouchardon, including David, Greuze, Watteau, De Troy and Oudry. The visitors can roam in a space divided into about fifteen scenographies, all organized in a chronological order.

Exhibition “From Watteau to David, The Horvitz Collection”, from March 21st to July 9th, 2017.
Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10a.m. to 6p.m.
Nocturnal on Friday until 9p.m.
Closed on Monday.
Full rate: €10 / Concessions: €7 / Free for people under 18.
