Exhibition: Sacred Wood
“Sacred Wood”, the new exhibition of the Quai Branly Museum, aims at explaining the initiation ceremony, a mandatory rite for each individual. The Poro initiation finds its origins in several western African communities, in particular in the secret societies of the Guinean forests located in Liberia, Guinea and Ivory Coast.
Exhibition: “Sacred Wood, Initiation in the Guinean forests”, from March 4th to May 18th, 2014.
Open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday from 11am to 7pm, and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday until 9pm.
Full rate: €9 / Reduced rate: €7.
