A bacteria that "swallows" methane and could reduce the impact of global warming?
According to a study, a group of bacteria called methanotrophs –– commonly found in
environments with high methane levels –– could have the ability to eradicate greenhouse gasses,
which are responsible for almost a third of the climate change phenomenon. Thanks to
methanotrophs, everywhere, including places with low levels of methane, would contain fewer
greenhouse gasses.
