Exhibition: Initiates, Congo Basin

The Musée Dapper, specialized in African art, holds a new exhibition focusing on initiation rites in the Congo Basin region. Various items (masks, ornaments, costumes) all made out of recycled materials will be exhibited starting on October 9th, as symbols of transition to adulthood. These ceremonial instruments punctuate the whole life of an individual. A good opportunity to learn more about this culture, voodoo and Christianity.

Exhibition: “Initiates, Congo Basin”, from October 9th, 2013, to July 6th, 2014.
Open from 11am to 7pm. Closed on Tuesday and Thursday.
Full rate: €6 / Concession (seniors): €4.
Free entrance for under-26s and on the last Wednesday of the month.
