Exhibition: Infinités plurielles
Until January 31st, 2018, the Palais de la Découverte pays tribute to 145 French scientists through its exhibition “Infinités plurielles” (“Pluralist infinities”). These women who are scientists, doctors, philosophers, geologists, economists, mathematicians, computer engineers and physicians lead us to their universes. They work in the public or private sector, at the European Space Agency, at Météo-France (France’s national meteorological service), at the CNRS (France’s National Centre for Research) or event at the Inserm (French National Health and Body Medical Research). These exceptional women are presented in portraits realised by the artist Marie-Hélène Le Ny, at the request of the Ministry for Higher Education and Research. This exhibition aims to fight against gender stereotypes and make visible women who work in scientific careers. Because even today, these professions are mostly represented by men.
