Exhibition: Gustave Doré, Master of Imagination

The Musée d'Orsay presents an exhibition on famous French caricaturist and illustrator Gustave Doré (1932-1883). A genius, he was talented in every artistic domain (painting, drawing, engraving, sculpture and watercolors) since he was 15. This unprecedented retrospective revisits his satires and caricatures, as well as the illustrations he drew for great literary works, such as Perrault's tales, or Victor Hugo and Honoré de Balzac's novels.
