The quai Branly hosts the Festival Les Siestes Electroniques
We already told you about the music festival Les Siestes Electroniques last year. Created in Toulouse in 2002, this festival has first settled in Paris in 2011, right at the heart of the garden of the Quai Branly Museum. This free open-air event was originally focused on electro music, but is now proposing an eclectic program made of daring music. For the 2014 edition, musicians from all over the world have been selected (United States, Finland, Germany, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc.). They all have a very special musical style like psychedelic pop, meditative music, trance music, techno and even traditional vietnamese music. This festival, similar to the Transmusicales of Rennes and to the Parisian Villette Sonique, does not show popular bands at the top of the charts, but experienced and little known artists, such as Bernard Szajner, a pioneer in French eletronic music who is now 70 years old. Bonus: concerts never overlap, allowing the public to discover every artist of each day. The number of concerts has been reduced on purpose. You have probably guessed that the Siestes Electroniques are an invitation to discovery, contemplation and emotion. A major summer event!
Festival Les Siestes Electroniques, on July 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th 2014.
