Exhibition: Peter Martensen – Ravage
For its first monographic exhibition in France, the danish artist Peter Martensen chose the Maison du Danemark, near from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni, on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées. With “Ravage”, the painter that describes himself as a “mental artist”, presents paintings, sculptures, videos and drawings. At first sight, his works are discovered with some apprehension so much they are filled with melancholy, absence, distance, hindsight and indifference. However, if we look at it closely, we discover traces of energy and a certain relation with international actuality. Peter Martensen is a contemporary artist with his own singular universe. This free exhibition is to discover since September 6th until October 29th, 2017.
