Exhibition: Nathan Lerner, Une Donation
The Musée d'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris (MaM), located two steps away from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, hosts a retrospective dedicated to American photographer Nathan Lerner (1913-1997). This free exhibition presents the 230 photographs donated by his wife Kiyoko to the museum in 2014. We discover the two eras that affected his entire work, the first one marked by the Great Depression, during which he spent time with László Moholy-Nagy and György Kepes, among others. The second half of the exhibition is dedicated to documentary photography, which he will inspiration for again after 1971. A unique occasion to (re)discover a great photographer.
"Nathan Lerner : Une donation" exhibition, from May 29th to September 13th 2015.
Open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 6pm.
Free entrance.
