The musée Carnavalet – Histoire de Paris is dedicating its new exhibition to the Parisian architect Jean-Benoit-Vincent Barré. During the second half of the 18^th century, he designed several hôtels particuliers and mansions in booming neighbourhoods of Paris around the Chaussée d’Antin, the boulevard des Italiens and the faubourg Poissonnière. In this retrospective entitled “Monsieur Barré, an architect and speculator in 18^th century Paris”, visitors will discover thirty of the French architect’s plans and drawings and learn about the urbanism of Paris.

Open Tuesday-Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
Closed on Mondays and bank holidays.
Free entrance.
