Exhibition: Mille et une orchidées
Since yesterday and until March 7th 2016, the jardin des Plantes invites flower lovers to discover its “Thousand and one orchids” (“Mille et une orchidées”) exhibition for a third edition. Last year, the public discovered specimens from Asia. This 2016 edition offers to admire about a hundred species which come from Chèvreloup Arboretum’s greenhouses (78), located near Versailles. They are exhibited within the great tropical greenhouses, near other rare varieties from the Auteuil’s greenhouses, the Jardin du Luxembourg, but also the botanic garden of the city of Paris. Visitors will have the opportunity to buy orchids on site, directly from to four French producers: Ryanne Orchidée, La Cour des Orchidées, AM Orchidées, and Vacherot & Lecoufle. This retrospective is to discover with one’s family, between a cultural visit to the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle or to the menagerie.
