Exhibition: Les Animaux font le mur
It’s the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Grande Galerie de l’Evolution of the National Museum of Natural History of Paris this year. To celebrate, a partnership with the Petit Palais is organised to gather together ten emblematic species, echoing some masterpieces presented in the 18th and 19th centuries collections. In this exhibition, entitled “Les Animaux font le mur” (“The animals go over the wall”), the visitors can watch a monkey doing some tricks in the North gallery, right next to his cousin held on a leash by the La Dame au singe (“Woman with monkey”) by the sculptor Camille Alaphilippe; or this peacock, that seems to just have escaped from L’Air, a tapestry by Charles LeBrun.
“Les Animaux font le mur” exhibition: from September 20th 2014 to January 4th 2015.
Open Tuesday-Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
Closed on Monday and on bank holidays.
Free entrance.
