It’s the 20^th anniversary of the creation of the Grande Galerie de l’Evolution of the National Museum of Natural History of Paris this year. To celebrate, a partnership with the Petit Palais is organised to gather together ten emblematic species, echoing some masterpieces presented in the 18^th and 19^th centuries collections. In this exhibition, entitled “Les Animaux font le mur” (“The animals go over the wall”), the visitors can watch a monkey doing some tricks in the North gallery, right next to his cousin held on a leash by the La Dame au singe (“Woman with monkey”) by the sculptor Camille Alaphilippe; or this peacock, that seems to just have escaped from L’Air, a tapestry by Charles LeBrun.

Open Tuesday-Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
Closed on Monday and on bank holidays.
Free entrance.
