Exhibition: The famous animals from the small zoo at the Jardin des Plantes
The small zoo at the Jardin des Plantes celebrates its 220th anniversary. For the occasion, it is putting on an exhibition dedicated to its number of pensioners who have become famous, like Zarafa the giraffe who landed in 1827 with a popular jubilation. Not forgetting also Nénette the orangutan, today’s star from the zoo, or even, Hans and Parkie the elephants that arrived to the enclosure in 1798. This retrospective exhibits photographs, press cuttings from the era, as well as designs. An event to discover for the family before next January 5th!
