The Grand Palais is hosting THE not-to-be-missed retrospective of Spring 2015: the Jean-Paul Gaultier exhibition. The French couturier, also known as “fashion’s terrible child”, began his career in 1970 as an assistant for Pierre Cardin, before moving on to Jacques Esterel and Jean Patou. First focused on prêt-à-porter, he founded his own Haute Couture house in 1997. Since then, he kept reinventing his vision of style and challenging the standards of fashion, always evolving with his time. From Paris to London, from punk to Parisian can-can, including stage costumes for Madonna, Kylie Minogue and Mylène Farmer, this exhibition explores the various facets of the designer. Visitors will discover sketches, photographs, clothes, clips from fashion shows and concerts, as well as some music videos.

Open Wednesday-Saturday from 10am to 10pm, and Sunday-Monday from 10am to 8pm.
Closed on Tuesdays and on May 1^st 2015.
Full rate: €13 / Reduced rate (16 to 25-year-olds): €9 / Free for under-16s.
Free entrance from 8pm to midnight on Saturday, May 16^th 2015 for the European Museum Night.
