Exhibition: “Being modern: MoMA in Paris”
After “Art/Africa, le nouvel atelier”, the Fondation Louis Vuitton, located near from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni, welcomes an exhibition dedicated to the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art). This famous museum of New York, created in 1929, is one of the first to have exposed art of its time. In this way, the 200 works presented in Paris reflect the history of this international institution and the wealth of its collections. Progressively, the visitor is led to discover the pop art, the minimalism, or even, the abstract expressionism. Paintings, sculptures, drawings, engravings, photographs and also design and architectural objects, films and finally digital works are unveiled. They are the result of great international artists’ work like Paul Cézanne, Marcel Duchamp, Max Beckmann, Yvonne Rainer, Gustav Klimt, Pablo Picasso, René Magritte, Alexander Calder, or even, Paul Signac, to name just a few of them. “Being modern: MoMA in Paris” is resolutely the exhibition of this fall, not to be missed!
