Olivier Dubois presents “Auguri” at the Théâtre National de Chaillot
The Théâtre National de Chaillot will present “Auguri” starting tomorrow, the latest creation of Olivier Dubois, director of the CCN Ballet du Nord, and thus until March 24th 2017.
A race against time
During the whole time of the representation, shapes are soaring, crossing each other, running to something that seems to be much farer than the edge of the stage. With “Auguri”, Olivier Dubois wanted to create a movement, a relentless dynamic between the dancers, in order to represent this race of the humanity for happiness. This quest then takes the form of unpredictable events, where dancers follow some guidelines but mostly improvise, what the stage director strongly encouraged. Inspired by the divine and the pagan mythology, the show is a panting dance illustrating the complexity of the destiny, which we want to follow as much as to avoid. In Italian, the word “Auguri” means “happy”, and refers to the mythical augurs. This surprising contemporary dance show is to discover only a few blocks away from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni.
Show “Auguri” by Olivier Dubois, from March 22nd to 24th 2017.
