Exhibition: Napoleon’s Sisters, Three Italian Destinies

The Musée Marmottant Monet relates the history as well as the private and public lives of the three sisters of Napoleon. Elisa was princess of Piombino and Lucca, then Grand Duchess of Tuscany. Pauline married the Roman prince Camille Borghese, and Caroline married general Joachim Murat, who reigned over Naples. Starting tomorrow, 140 works will be presented to the public: paintings, sculptures, accessories, court jewelry and furniture. These items come from the collections of several major European museums, and from Italian and French private collections.
