Exhibition: Irving Penn

Organized in partnership with the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York, the Grand Palais’ exhibition dedicated to Irving Penn is resolutely the event of the 2017 return. The reason is that he is one of the greatest photographers of the 20th century, whom took portraits of Audrey Hepburn, Pablo Picasso, Colette, Francis Bacon, Jean Cocteau, Yves Saint-Laurent, Salvador Dali or even Alfred Hitchcock and Zaha Hadid. This important retrospective presented near from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni also celebrates the century of Irving Penn’s birth (1917-2009). It is 70 years of career of the American photographer that are thereby retraced through more than 235 proofs. This is also the occasion to come back on years of collaboration with the Vogue magazine.
