Exhibition: George Henry Longly, DAIMYO

Last Monday, we told you about Anita Molinero’s exhibition “Fill up that hole!” held at the Palais de Tokyo. This week, it’s George Henry Longly’s turn. The British artist is presenting his new installation entitled “The Tissue Equivalent” within the retrospective “DAIMYO – Warlords of Japan”. For this event, the Palais de Tokyo partnered with the musée national des arts asiatiques – Guimet (Guimet Museum of Asian arts) to create an exceptional exhibition, gathering armours and daimyo attributes, those men who were powerful governors in Japan, between the 12th and the 19th century. George Henry Longly’s work combines sculpture, video and sound with historical objects such as bearskin spear sheaths. “DAIMYO” is displayed just a few-minute walk away from the Green Hotels Paris, the Gavarni and the Eiffel Trocadéro.

Exhibition “George Henry Longly. DAIMYO – Warlords of Japan”, from February 16th to May 13th, 2018.
Open every day, except on Tuesday, from noon to midnight.
Full rate: €12 / Concessions (12-25 and + de 60): €9 / Free for those under 18.
