Edern: the new gastronomic restaurant by Jean-Edern Hurstel
It is today, the 5th of September 2018, that the “Top Chef” Jean-Edern Hurstel, who worked with Alain Ducasse, Alain Passard and Gordon Ramsey, has opened his gastronomic restaurant Edern, the dream of his life. Nestled a stone's throw from the Arc de Triomphe, near the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni, Edern promises to become a gourmet place that breaks the codes of French gastronomy. The address offers 360 m2 of surface area, spread over two levels, with a main hall with 60 seats and a cocktail bar. We love the decor, both sober and raw, punctuated by touches of street art, dominated by natural stone and adorned with a glass roof. Every evening, a lounge area in the basement hosts DJ sets. In the kitchen, Jean-Edern Hurstel has surrounded himself with chef Laurent Poitevin and pastry chef Yann Le Douaron, who revisit French and Asian flavours. Here, you can enjoy sea bream in ceviche with citrus fruits and avocado, marinated beef with spices and caramelized onions or chicken wings from the Landes marinated in soya and ginger. For desert, you can't resist the signature soufflé in dark chocolate and flowing heart version. We adore the wine and champagne list, which includes more than 150 references. Fall for temptation!
