Carrotmob helps ecofriendly stores

Carrotmob helps the world to become a little greener. This movement uses the power of money to change the habits of storekeepers in order to make them more ecofriendly. This form of activism, called buycott, is simple: the storekeeper satisfy the demand of consumers who want him or her to apply ecofriendly measures. In return, the community rewards the storekeeper's ecological commitment by buying as many products and services as possible within a short period. This is how every Carrotmob campaign works. This movement started in San Francisco and has kept on growing since its first action in 2008. Today, the headquarters of the Carrotmob organization is based in Paris, and the movement is deeply ingrained in France. No less than 13 communities have been founded throughout the country, in cities like Lyon and Marseilles, and of course in the capital. All these communities manage to act in favor of the environment on a local scale thanks to economy.
