This summer, discover the most beautiful sites in France
As the most visited country in the world, France has decided to create a webstie to help you plan your holidays: The World Heritage Sites of France. It lists all French sites that are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This travel guide has been conceived like a paper guide, but has the advantages of the Internet: interactive maps, news and good deals via the social networks.

Sites organized by themes
By exploring the website, you will travel in the most beautiful French regions, thanks to themes that allow you to select your destination depending on your tastes. Among the themes, there are castles and citadels, religious heritage, vineyards, industrial heritage, and various periods of history such as Middle Ages and Prehistory. Each theme corresponds to a region, a city or a French monument. You will thus discover the episcopal city of Albi near Toulouse, Provins, a medieval walled city only an hour's drive from Paris, the Saint-Emilion vineyards, and even the Saint-Savin abbey in the Vienne region. When you select a place, you are redirected to a sort of descriptive sheet, that contains all the information you need to know to plan your stay: history of the site, cultural agenda, transports, address of the local tourist office, restaurants and hotels where you can eat and rest. What is more, the website The World Heritage Sites of France is available on smartphones and tablets, to remain connected during your stay.
