Since last February 12th and until September 25th 2016, the musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris presents, in its permanent collections, the film "JG" by Tacita Dean. This British contemporary artist born in 1965 in Canterbury made herself known around the world by making movies in which she illustrates the passage of time. The artist who fights against the disappearance of the silver film transports the public to universes mostly nostalgic, where appearance and disappearance processes prevailed. "JG" are none other than the initials of writer James Graham Ballard’s first name (1830-2009), as her, fascinated by the works of artist Robert Smithson. This double homage to Ballard and Smithson offers a panorama of the arid stretches and the saline lakes of Utah and California, highlighting time. This exhibition can be discovered nearby the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni.
