Exhibition: The 50s
Discover the beauty of the dresses from the fifites at the Palais Galliera. An exhibition presents these years that were a big turning point in fashion, for many codes were broken during this post-war period. Each fashion designer revealed women beauty in his own way: Christian Dior enhanced the curves thanks to the "hourglass" figure, Chanel did the same with a strict straight suit, and Balenciaga launched the "barrel" line with its flared back and waist. Styles and cuts are varied, but always elegant and graceful, which is why these collections are legendary.
Exhibition: "The 50s", from July 12th to November 2nd 2014.
Open Tuesday - Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
