Exhibition: L’Art fait ventre
"L'Art fait ventre" (a pun on the word "vendre/ventre", meaning to sell/belly) is a collective exhibition welcomed by the musée de la Poste (French postal service) and puts food at the heart of art. Seventeen contemporary artists, French and of other nationalities, have worked together to produce this retrospective and give their various points of view through paintings, sculptures, installations and photographs. Thus, artists like Winshluss, Martine Camillieri and Mathilde de l'Ecotais denounce overconsumption, junkfood and aberrations in the agro-business, whereas other works, by Gilles Barbier, Pedro Diego Alvarado and Stéphane Soulié, represent splendid still lifes. The exhibition also proposes banquets, canteens and shows.
Exhibition: "L'Art fait ventre", from June 3rd to September 20th 2014.
Open Monday - Saturday from 1pm to 6pm.
Closed on Saturday August 16th 2014.
Full rate: €5 / Free for the under-12s.
