Exhibition: Florence, portraits at the court of the Medicis
Until January 25th 2016, the art of the Florentine portrait of the XVI century is on display at the musée Jacquemart-André, nearby the avenue des Champs-Elysées and the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni. It is the occasion for the public to admire works from the Italian art of the Renaissance and of Ridolfo del Ghirlandaio or Francesco Salviati. Their creations are, by the way, for the first time confronted to the contemporaries’, as Andrea del Sarto, Rosso Fiorentino, Bronzino and Pontormo. This important retrospective enables to understand better the changing of Florence in the XVI century and notably the assertion both public and private of the self-image in a will of posterity.
