Exhibition: Exit
On the occasion of COP21, the Palais de Tokyo hosts the “Exit” installation, conceived by architects Didier Scofidio + Renfro. Initially showed at the Fondation Cartier, during the “Terre Natale, Ailleurs commence ici” exhibition in 2008, this work evokes global warming. Architect Laura Kurgan, statistician Mark Hansen and several scientists from various disciplines contributed to the creation of the project. Exit is made up of moving maps, which are generated from statistical data. They show the population’s movements across the world, but especially their causes. Updated with an eye to the 21st United nations conference on climate change, it reveals that these migrations are linked to the climate imbalances and to the natural disasters that they create. This visual experience is to live less than 10minutes’ walk away from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni.
"Exit" exhibition, from November 25th to January 10th 2016.
Open daily, except on Tuesday, from 12pm to 12am.
Free admission.
