Through its new exhibition “From Nô to Mata Hari, 2000 years of Asian theatre” which opens today, the Guimet Museum presents this art in its every shape and form. Thousand-year-old art form, the theatre in Asia varies with countries and their specific culture. It therefore assumes different aspects, sometimes danced, other times sung, it can be acrobatic as well as plainly acted. In order to better grasp the differences that may still persist between the Indian theatre, the South-East Asian shadow theatre, the Peking opera or even the Japanese theatre, costumes, nô masks, faces and puppets are available for the public to see.

Open every day except on Tuesday, from 10am to 6pm. Closed on May 1^st 2015.
Full rate: €9 / Concession (18-25 years old): €7  / Free for visitors under 18.
