The Villette’s Seasonal Gardens

The Parc de la Villette hides a real treasure of biodiversity: the Seasonal Gardens. In these gardens, insects, plants, trees, fruit and vegetables from all over the world grow side by side in an environment-friendly way. The gardens include wasteland, woodland, ponds and pools, orchards and beehives that all coexist in harmony. Overall, this area of the park comprises 17 large jardinieres as well as observation gardens. Some specific arrangements have been made for the visitors, among which gardening tables, compost bins and vegetable allotments. Visitors are thus free to take part in the life of the garden through workshops, trainings and artistic activities, in order to reconcile man and nature. Moreover, the Seasonal Gardens were awarded the Ecocert certified EVE® label for "ecological public parks and gardens". The 1,000 square meter extension in 2011 took the gardens total surface area to 3,000 square meters. They are a perfect place for a nice walk with your better half or with your family, to enjoy a beautiful summer in Paris.

The Seasonal Gardens are open from May 5th to September 30th 2014, on Saturday and Sunday from 3pm to 7pm.
Free entrance.
