Exhibition: All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace

The Palais de Tokyo presents, until May 8th 2017, the group show “All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace”. With a title based on a poem by the American writer Richard Brautigan, entitled “All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace”, this retrospective is conceived according to a pathway which covers different “affective zones”. Through these installations, photographs and sculptures, the visitor is invited to question himself on the impact of new technologies, but also on the market economy, on our daily emotions and our social relationships. Indeed, the brands, logos and consumption items quite often influence our emotions without anyone noticing.  We select them according to own image, and we associate to people with similar tastes. That is therefore what the different artists, intellectuals and sociologies that took part in this event have been trying to question and to put into perspective. This exhibition is to discover just a few minute walk away only from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni, at the heart of the 16th arrondissement.

Group show “All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace”, from March 3rd to May 8th 2017.
Open every day, except on Tuesday, from noon to midnight.
Full rate: €12.50 / Reduced rate (18-25 years old): €9.40.
