Exhibition: Oulipo, la littérature en jeu(x)

Through this exhibition, entitled “literature at play”, the Bibliothèque nationale de France invites you to discover a literary movement which was created in the 1960s: the Oulipo. Short for French “Ouvroir de littérature potentielle” (roughly translated by “workshop of potential literature”), it aimed at reforming literature, using constrained writing techniques, most of them deriving from mathematical structures. Unknown to the general public, the Oulipo is here presented from A to Z in a free exhibition.

“Oulipo, la littérature en jeu(x)” exhibition, from November 18th 2014 to February 15th 2015.
Open Tuesday-Sunday from noon to 7pm.
Closed on Monday and on bank holidays.
Free entrance.
