Exhibition: The Journey of the Obelisk, Luxor-Paris (1829-1836)


For its new exhibition, starting on February 12th, the French Maritime Museum in Paris recounts a Franco-Egyptian historical event. Indeed, the visitors will be told about the over six-year-long journey of the Luxor Obelisk, erected in 1836 between the Palais des Tuileries and the Champs-Elysées.

Exhibition: “The Journey of the Obelisk, Luxor-Paris (1829-1836)”, from February 12th to July 6th, 2014.
Open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 11am to 6pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 7pm.
Closed on Tuesdays and on January 1st, May 1st and December 25th.
Full rate: €10 / Concession: €8 (under-26s and students) / 7-18 year olds: €5 / 3-6 year olds: €2.
