Do Eat: the edible verrines!
Do Eat is a Belgian start-up company proposing 100% natural and edible verrines. Two young entrepreneurs, Hélène Hoyois and Thibault Gilqui, joined their common passion for art and food by revolutionising our relationship to cooking. Tired of doing the dishes, they invented eatable plates. In 2013, the first verrines are created. Made from water and potatoes starch, they are also compostable and biodegradable: a real alternative to the classic or disposable dishes! Recipes are available on the website for a successful aperitif with friends. They go equally well with salted or sweet delicacies, and can also be placed in the oven or in the microwave for a more crunchy finish. Little extra: it is even possible to do it yourself and to decorate them with an edible marker. Fresh from its success, the start-up is regularly requested by renowned chefs, as Michelin-starred Belgium chef Sang-Hoon Degeimbre, seduced by the innovative character of the concept.
