50th anniversary of French “Station Verte” label

Created on May 12th, 1964, the Stations Vertes label, awarding eco-friendly resort villages, was a pioneer in the field of eco-tourism in France. Now celebrating its 50th anniversary, the label comprises 544 green holiday and ski resorts throughout France, 25% of which are located in a nature reserve. Their main objective is to preserve the environment and enhance both their natural and cultural heritage. In this purpose, they provide the visitors with guided and animated tours; some of them even have log cabins and eco-gites so that the vacationers can be closer to nature. Each green resort also has to implement a strict policy in terms of energy saving, waste sorting and processing, renewable energies and transports.

To celebrate this 50th anniversary, animations and special offers will be proposed in every green resort. Click on the link below to discover the program (in French)!
