Exhibition: Niele Toroni
It is within these permanent contemporary collections that the musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris (Museum of modern Art of the City of Paris) hosts work of artist Niele Toroni (born in Swiss, in 1937). This collaboration dwells on the painter’s work method which he developed in 1967: he puts a paintbrush larger than 50mm on a surface, and at moderate intervals of 30cm. Prints which he thus makes on the principle of repetition gesture sign his style. For this exhibition soberly entitled “Niele Toroni”, wall creations made in situ are shown, as well as around ten great canvases dating from 1983, from the Michael Werner donation. Finally, the MAM also offers to admire the five paintings whose artist gave to the Parisian museum in 2015. This event lasts until January 10th next, from less than 10 minutes’ walk from the Green Hotels Paris.
