Exhibition: Michel Houellebecq

Until the return from the summer holidays, the Palais de Tokyo consecrates an exhibition to one of the most translated and read in the world contemporary artists of French language since the 1990’s: Michel Houellebecq. With “Rester vivant”, he gives up his role of writer for the artist’s one. Poet, essayist, novelist and director at the same time, Houellebecq has always had a close relationship with photography, using it to extend his reflection. This retrospective invites the visitor to explore the writer’s obsessions, thanks to installations, prints, sounds and films he created himself or guests like Robert Combas, Maurice Renoma, Renaud Marchand or Raphaël Sohier made. With this contemporary art exhibition, he succeeds in matching real with fiction, literature with photography, in a protean mix in his image. An event which can be visited a few minutes walk from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni, before having a bucolic break at the Champ de Mars.

Exhibition “Michel Houellebecq: Rester vivant”, from June 23rd to September 11st, 2016.
Open every day from noon to midnight, except on Tuesdays.
Full rate: €10 / Reduced rate (under 26): €8 / Free under 18.
