Exhibition: Markus Lüpertz
The Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (MAM) presents the first exhibition ever to be dedicated to German painter Markus Lüpertz. Through 140 drawings, poems, sculptures and paintings, this retrospective allows visitors to discover the various art movements that have left a mark on the artist. Therefore, we go from figuration, with the "Dithyrambs", to the large formats of the 60s and their "German patterns" and to the 80s and their dialogues with old masters, such as Courbet, Goya or even Poussin to finish with the year 2013 and its "Arcadies" series. A thorough exhibition, which allows to (re)discover the work of one of the greatest painters of the post-war period, like Gerhard Richter, A.R Pench or Georg Baselitz.

Open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 6pm.
