In 2015, the Guimet Museum honors Korea as part of the 130th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between France and Korea. By programming three exhibitions, the Parisian Museum provides the opportunity to discover the art of this Asian country, still unknown by the public. With "Intérieur coréen" (Korean interior), it lingers over the art of Korean embroidery by presenting artworks by contemporary artist In-Sook Son, among others. Originally from a large family of embroiderers, In-Sook Son has always had an extraordinary imagination. The exhibition features some of her finest pieces and gets back to the various embroidery styles: minsu, kungsu, royal and domestic embroidery. For a long time, domestic embroidery has been the only way to express women's talent, who could not perform any other form of activity, whether intellectual or artistic. A retrospective situated closed from the Green Hotels Paris.
