Exhibition: Iles de la Seine
The Pavillon de l’Arsenal invites us to a photographic journey upstream and downstream all along the Seine, discovering the islands which populate the river, from Paris to the Ile-de-France region. Around thirty actual or disappeared by fragments islands are here exhibited. All unveil a particular universe, from the Île Saint-Etienne’s prison (in the 77 department) via the Île du Platais’ naturist area (in the 78 department), the Île Seguin’s show-window factory (in the 92 department), the Île de Chatou’s Impressionists (in the 78 department) to the Île de la Jatte (in the 92 department) and its stunning view on La Défense. This free exhibition enables to admire nature there is in the capital. The ‘Iles de la Seine’ retrospective is also aimed at children. Indeed, a treasure hunt named ‘Les pirates de l’Arsenal et l’énigme de l’île mystérieuse’ is reserved for 6-12 year olds throughout the course.
Exhibition ‘Iles de la Seine’, from June 4th to October 2nd, 2016.
Open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11am to 7pm.
Free entrance.
