Exhibition: Hip-hop, du Bronx aux rues arabes
The Parisian Arab World Institute dedicates an exhibition to hip-hop culture until the end of July 2015. This artistic and social movement was first considered underground and subversive, before it spread to other ways of expression. This hitherto unseen exhibition recounts the history of this movement affecting not only music, but also dance, fashion, cinema, street art, or photography. A new genre, which has since then become universal. "Hip-hop, du Bronx aux rues arabes" (Hip-hop, from the Bronx to the Arabic streets) presents around a hundred historic works made by American, French and Arab artists.
"Hip-hop, du Bronx aux rues arabes" exhibition, from April 28th to July 26th 2015.
Open Tuesday to Friday, from 10am to 6pm, and on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 10am to 7pm.
