Exhibition: Bettina Rheims. You are finished, gentle faces
The musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac is paying tribute to one of the most famous French photographers, Bettina Rheims (1952-), with the exhibition “You are finished, gentle faces”, from March 20th to June 3rd, 2018. In addition to the retrospective “Ghosts and hells”, held until July 15th, 2018, the museum is honouring women and femininity by displaying Bettina Rheims’ photographs. Indeed, this artist spent much of her career taking pictures of women. Here, female figures are strong and devoid of the stereotypes which have been assigned to her since the dawn of time. In Bettina Rheims’ works, women aren’t mere objects of beauty or desire, but free and unique heroines. This event is available near the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni, just a few-minute walk away from the Eiffel tower.
