Exhibition: Le Colorado

Until 31st March 2017 the Pavillon de l'Eau is exhibiting photographs by Franck Vogel, a free exhibition called "Le Colorado - Le fleuve qui n'atteint plus la mer". The Colorado is a river that flows from the Rocky Mountains to the Gulf of California. It provides some of the water consumed by nearly 30 million people in the United States and Mexico, and also irrigates 15% of the crops in the United States. Yet, incredible as it may seem, because of American dams, this is the only river in the world that no longer flows into its natural outlet, the sea. Overexploited for agriculture, tourism, and food, but also to provide drinking water to cities like Las Vegas, this river is in danger. These photographs, accompanied by digital feedback from the artist, make visitors aware of the importance of protecting the environment.

Exhibition "Le Colorado par Franck Vogel – Le fleuve qui n’atteint plus la mer", from 30th May to 31st March 2017.
Open from Monday fo Friday from 10a.m. to 6p.m.
Free entrance.
