Relax with Paris Plages!
Paris Plages is the summer event in the capital. On this occasion, many activities are suggested to spend a nice moment, with family or friends.
From July 20th to August 18th, Parisians have two beaches in the heart of the capital : one on the banks of the Seine, and the other at la Villette basin. Here is a nice way to enjoy summer sun. For young and old, cultural or sporting animations are held. Eight live shows are broadcast on Sundays and Saturdays on the huge screen installed in the Hôtel de Ville esplanade. Concerts, operas, choreographies, there is something for everyone. On banks of the Seine, covered with sand, over nearly one kilometer for this occasion, an ephemeral library is at your disposal as well as a pétanque court. You can also take Taï-Chi classes, ballroom dancing, try baby-foot or simply have a sunbath.

Paris Plages at la Villette
Activities are not missing at la Villette basin : rowing, canoes, pedalboats, barques, or even, roller-tubes (spheres on water) are promising you an animated day ! A zip-line connecting the two banks has been installed as well as a mini-golf. An electric Kart circuit is also proposed to children at Place de la Rotonde de Stalingrad, dominating the canal. Enjoy also cruises which will make you sail on Canal de l’Ourcq, in Paris, to Bondy and Aulnay-sous-Bois during week-ends.
