“Flexible Silence”: a creation by Saburo Teshigawara for Chaillot
After presenting "Le Dernier Testament" by Mélanie Laurent, the Théâtre National de Chaillot invites you this time to discover the Ensemble contemporain “Flexible Silence”, a creation by the Japanese choreographer Saburo Teshigawara. When he mixes music of two well-known contemporary composers, Tory Takemitsu and Olivier Messiaen, the artist opens the door to a reflection on beauty and time through dance.
A choreography suspended between musical notes
Legend of the contemporary choreography in Japan, Saburo Teshigawara shares his time between Tokyo and Paris, where he tooks up residence at the Théâtre National de Chaillot. After the numerous successes of his previous shows, “Flexible Silence” is an opportunity to rediscover his universe, touching and delicate. For this work, he called on six dancers and six soloists from the Ensemble intercontemporain, as well as from the sextuor d’ondes Martenot du Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris. This contemporary dance show is to discover a few minutes away only from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni.
