A magical Christmas at the Jardin d’Acclimatation
For the first time, the Jardin d’Acclimatation celebrates Christmas during 5 weeks, with “Extraordinaires Féeries de Noël”, nearby the Green Hotel Paris (the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni). From November 28th 2015 to January 3rd 2016, young and old alike are invited to wander around the park’s 18 hectares, adorned with fir trees, fairy lights, lighting effects, chalets and a large skating rink.

An enchanting park
The Jardin d’Acclimatation got equipped with a 400m2 skating rink and with “Le Jardin des Neiges”, an area for the youngest. Amateurs and professionals will thus be able to initiate themselves or fully enjoy the pleasures of winter sports. After effort, comes comfort! You will be able to taste Alsatian specialities (bretzel, Christmas biscuits, flammekueche) to warm you up nearby the skating rink. From 5pm, visitors will have the opportunity to wander through an enchanting path: huge glowing fir trees, giant birds twinkling in the trees, phosphorescent arch and others sparkling surprises! During this path, adults will be able to stop off at the Christmas market, which is overflowing with festive gastronomic specialities, handcrafted objects and decoration. Each and every one will find what he is looking for to find the perfect gift, to treat himself or to beautify his fir tree.

Numerous activities for young and old alike
Children’s shows are on the programme, with “Où est passé le Père Noël ?” and “La forêt du Père Noël”, as well as Santa Claus in person who will come to meet the youngest. Several workshops are also planned in order to make the children discover the magic of Christmas: cooking with “Festin de Chef” to concoct delicious festive dishes or modelling with “Les animaux des neiges” to learn how to create a paper mache white fox or a Siberian husky. Finally, the oldest are not outdone with a baking workshop hosted by pastry chef Christophe Felder, who will teach them how to make delicious desserts for Christmas and New Year’s celebrations: yule log, orange sorbet or edible Christmas decoration.
