A Bubble barrier

Cleaning the rivers ofthe plastic pollution with bubbles.

Every minute, the equivalent of one full garbage truck of plastic trash is dumped into our oceans. This is the equivalent of 1,440 trucks per day and in total 8 billion kilos each year, and 80% of those plastics come directly from land.

The bubble barrier is generated by a perforated tube at the bottom of the waterway where air is pumped into it.This creates a bubble screen which blocks the plastic elements and brings them back to the surface. The bubble screen is placed diagonally in the waterway and thereby guides the plastic trash to the side into the collection system.
