German-born in 1938, Romy Schneider , naturalized as a French citizen later, deployed all her talent as an actress in order to go beyond frontiers and make her name famous on the international scene. Her impressive filmography ( over 60 films in only 30 years of her career) is unanimously recognized : she was the first woman to be awarded with a Cesar for the best actress.

The Cinémathèque brings back to life the destiny and the outstanding career of this woman who has become a real myth. The exhibition « Romy Schneider »recalls the beginnings of the actress, who was only 15 years old when she got her first role, to her major successes with Alain Cavalier, Claude Sautet, Luchino Visconti, Orson Welles, Otto Preminger
